Hot, unsweetened Black tea and lemons took care of my nausea. I read a study one day that inspired me to try the lemons. A University gave air-sick passengers in planes several scents to sniff when feeling ill. 100% of those who smelled lemon stopped feeling nauseous! Some times I would smell the rind and other take a taste of a lemon slice, but it worked every time!

I also agree when a man feels he has met his queen he will ask her to marry him. But the other day I saw a man have two children and spent 20 yrs together. He married a woman he had dated about 6 mos. Now that doesn't make sense to me. She was livid and dropped in on the wedding and was removed because she kept interrupting it. In an interview later the man sitting next to his new wife said "I knew she wouldn't let me do this in peace", hmmm I wonder why. Please elaborate why would a man stay that long does he think she will change or does he not really care for her and when he leaves, he doesn't give a sh*t how she feels.

I do agree with many parts in this article. It's a great read btw, however, I will say that I disagree with the fact that a man HAS to pop the "will you marry me question" in 9 months. What I will say is that a man should know within 1YEAR/9 Months whether or not he wants to marry you. Many times it might take a couple of years for him to feel like he's prepared to marry, money etc...However, if you're in a relationship and after 2-3 years he hasn't popped the question, LEAVE because usually he isn't going to marry you.

You are absolutely right about kids not seeing cleaning up as a chore. Indigo has just recently understood about putting back what she took out, and she seems equally thrilled to throw all the clothes out of her drawers as she does piling them back in!

I liked this article, although I do not neccesarily agree with the fact that a guy has to pop the question in 9 months. I have seen many guys pop the question later than that and they now live happily married.
I think that it all depends in how a guy feels with the woman, which is partly what the article says. A man will be immediately attracted and attached to a woman who loves herself. I have not been married, but I'm the process of learning a lot of things about me.
I feel that this article was truly helpful and I will keep many things in mind in order to have a succesful married life.

what a great post! very interesting read. i have not got my children vaccinated also, for many of the reasons you state above.
however, would you consider the polio vaccination before travelling to third world countries? this is something I've been thinking about lately.

Hi Amy,
Thanks for your comment and compliment!
Personally even if I were traveling to a third world country, I would still not vaccinate, not even for polio. My reasoning is based on weighing the risk of getting the disease versus the risk of what harmful affects there may be from injecting my child with what I believe to be a scientifically unproven substance. What I mean by unproven is that there are no studies that have actually tested a large enough group of children to say that vaccines are safe and effective. I would look at the current incidence of the disease in the specific area I would be traveling to. I also base my reasoning on the way that I know the immune system to work naturally versus how the body responds to antibodies from vaccines (you just read about it in the above post). Whatever you decide, don't take my word for it, but please do your own research, then go with your informed gut feeling. Wishing you happy and safe traveling!

Hi Angeline-
This post interested me because Luca once had febrile seizures, but they happened before I had given her any medication. She woke in the night extremely hot and started seizing. The doctor said some children are prone to this more than others and that she should be medicated with high fever to prevent it from happening again.
So now I'm confused because I don't like medicating her but I don't like risking a reoccurence of seizures, either...

Your website - What a great find!
